A smog check may include any of the following tests: Visual inspection of emission control components and systems Functional inspection of the vehicle’s check engine light, ignition timing, exhaust gas recirculation system, fuel evaporative system, and gas cap Functional inspection of the vehicle’s On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) system Tailpipe emissions inspection Technicians perform an emissions test to determine whether the vehicle meets state requirements. User must present the voucher before they receive service. Coupon will be redeemed by the technician prior to starting work. Payment of the certificate and transmission fee is required and paid only after the vehicle passes the smog test. Does not include $8.25 CA Certificate Fee if inspection is passed 1.75 ETF fee is required pass/fail Not valid for motor homes, trucks, vans, diesel trucks, or pickup trucks with a gross vehicle weight greater than 8,500 lbs. Vehicles must be the year 2000 or newer. Not valid for the year 1999 or older vehicles unless otherwise noted. Retesting is free within 60 days of the original test. Free retest only for the cars 2000 and newer. Sacramento Smog Test & Repair is not STAR certified. If the purchaser needs a STAR certified smog test, this voucher may be redeemed at Roseville Auto Smog or San Juan Auto Smog.
